Van Wezel appoints new CEO

The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall named Stu Klein like its new general director. Klein has extensive experience working in multiple aspects of the entertainment industry; he comes to Van Wezel after spending ten years as assistant general manager at the Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, North Carolina. At Van Wezel, he will work closely with General Manager Mary Bensel and other key staff to ensure the smooth running and management of the venue.

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System added their first dedicated Surgeon specializing in head and neck and microvascular cancer to the First Physicians Group (FPG) network and the team of surgical oncologists at the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute. Dr. Peter Vosler joined FPG from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Hospital. Vosler treats patients with benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck involving the mouth, oropharynx, larynx, skin, parotid, and thyroid.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties recognized the efforts of Caroline Mason and Steve canteens at its annual leadership luncheon.
