Residents will have the opportunity to share their ideas for improving Tama and Toledo during a design workshop hosted by the Tama and Toledo Vision Committees at the Tama Civic Center auditorium from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30. .
This workshop is the culmination of an information gathering process to identify transportation needs and opportunities for improvement in Tama and Toledo.
Information gathered from public comment gathering events held earlier this spring will be incorporated into a conceptual transportation and landscape enhancement plan.
A design team will work at the Tama Civic Center throughout the workshop to develop a conceptual plan that meets the goals and needs of the Tama-Toledo community.
Landscape architects from Site Design, a Chicago-based firm, are excited to work with Tama and Toledo on the Iowa Living Roadways Community Vision Program this summer. Site Design architects bring years of experience in community planning and design in rural areas.
The public is invited to stop by during the hours of the design workshop to give their opinion on the designs and ask questions about the process. The results of the focus group workshops will also be available.
Images of the final concepts will be shown to the public later this summer.
